Erectile dysfunction affects 1 in 3 Indian men under 40. Learn how classical Ayurvedic Vajikarana therapy addresses the root cause naturally and permanently.

What is Erectile Dysfunction?

Erectile dysfunction (ED), also called napumsaka or sexual weakness, is the consistent inability to develop or maintain an erection firm enough for satisfying intercourse. It is not just a physical concern — it deeply affects self-esteem, intimacy and the quality of a marriage.

Recent studies show that nearly 1 in 3 Indian men under 40 now experience some degree of ED, driven by stress, sedentary lifestyles, diabetes and hypertension. The good news: with proper Ayurvedic care, the condition is reversible in the vast majority of cases.

Root Causes of ED

Physical causes include diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, hormonal imbalance, smoking, alcohol and a sedentary lifestyle.

Psychological causes include chronic stress, performance anxiety, depression and unresolved relationship issues.

In Ayurveda, ED is understood as a Vata–Pitta imbalance with depletion of Shukra dhatu (reproductive tissue) and Ojas (vital essence). Treatment must therefore address both the body and the mind.

The Ayurvedic Vajikarana Approach

Vajikarana, one of the eight classical branches of Ayurveda, focuses on restoring sexual vitality. The treatment uses time-tested herbs such as Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), Shilajit, Safed Musli, Gokshura and Kaunch Beej to rebuild Shukra dhatu, improve nitric-oxide-driven blood flow and balance hormones.

Alongside herbs, we prescribe a Vata-pacifying diet, specific yoga asanas, pranayama for pelvic circulation, and discreet counselling for performance anxiety.

What Results Can You Expect?

Most patients at Dr. Lohit's Ayur Sex Clinic notice firmer erections and improved stamina within 30–45 days of starting treatment. Significant, lasting results typically appear between 60 and 90 days, with no surgery, no temporary pills and no side effects.

Unlike PDE-5 inhibitors that mask the symptom for a few hours, Ayurveda targets the root cause — so the improvement is sustained even after treatment ends.

When to Consult a Doctor

If you have struggled with weak erections for more than 3 months, or if ED is affecting your relationship and confidence, do not delay. Early treatment is faster, cheaper and almost always more successful. A confidential consultation with Dr. Lohit can identify the exact cause and create a personalised recovery plan.
